Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) intends to prosecute anyone who issues a false or fake No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The SBCA took action against the two residential and commercial projects which included, ‘Al-Jadeed Golf Club and Residency‘, located at Survey No. 15, Deh Kharkhro, Taluka Gadap, District Malir, and ‘Memon Heaven,’ which is located at Survey No. 22, Deh Bhatti Amri, Sector. While acting against fake NOCs for marketing and sales, the SBCA declared the sale and purchase of residential and commercial plots illegal in two private-public sale projects, mentioned above. People were also urged not to invest in such illicit ventures by the administration.
The SBCA has given notifications to the respective builders of the aforementioned two projects, M/s. Asif Zubair Builders and Developers, with license number DL-3342, and M/s. SBS Builders, with license number DL-3343. The authorities asked them to halt all marketing campaigns, purchases, sales, and bookings from their separate head offices and site offices until they get a formal NOC from the SBCA. Otherwise, any infringement of the building codes will be regarded as fraudulent and deceiving to the people. In case of any violations, the construction laws will be deemed as misleading the public.
